Version 1.2 really helped the joy response and the gain setting may even not be necessary anymore-I just haven't turned it off yet. There I clicked the box to turn ON gain settings for non-force games, and set the slider to about 20%. Some people had problems with a "limp stick" and I solved this by going into XP>control panel>game controls>gain settings. The only things I don't like are the double function missile select/missile launch, which really hurts in combat, and not being able to program "target under recticle" and "info on target" to the joystick, which you could do in XT. Certain functions you can program as in the other X games, but most people are not too happy with the limited assignments. The only programming you can do is also in the startup X2 under input. It would probably work, but I don't need anything else running in the background.įor functionality, I have, in the X2 startup>input, set my deadzone to 5%, my sensitivity set to 70%. ![]() I know there are lots of new guys here.Īs with my Saitek, I don't use the programming software.
